Sound ist Top, Dynamik ist ebenfalls auf gutem Niveau, finde die Pressung gut. Musik ist sowieso sehr gut. Hurricane ist natürlich herausragend. -
Jesus, where did they record this thing? This is not a good sounding record by any measure. Not terrible, but super lacklustre for its time. I have nothing to compare it to, so I'll assume the comments below are right and it's not down to mastering.

I own a NM original pressing and the MFSL SACD. Both sound great, but I’m thinking that this may sound even better. This MOV pressing definitely has a wider soundstage and a little more clarity. I personally love the sound of this record, but it’s notorious for the bass and drums being pretty saturated and overdriven. I was wondering if this newer remaster would smooths things out, but it doesn’t. If you love this record and are looking for a new or NM copy, but can’t afford the MFSL or find a clean original, don’t be afraid to get this one.

Sound is very nice on this. Sounds full. I don’t think this was a great recording. I’ve heard some pressings from the 70s that have a lot of distortion and sibilance. This one has some sibilance on the vocals, particularly on “Joey,” but the issue is mostly resolved here.

I purchased Desire on Amazon as it was listed as MOV Transition and when it arrived it did not have the usual Music On Vinyl outer sleeve and hype sticker. However MOV was in the dead wax. So, I wrote to Music On Vinyl and they explained that the early Dylan albums they worked on they were not allowed to put their logo on the artwork, label or any of the usual places you see the Music On Vinyl brand. Since then the rights have gone back to Sony. So, that explains it. My copy is flat, quiet and sounds spectacular! Music On Vinyl has always done great work and an economical alternative to MoFi.

Haven't heard the MFSL 45, but this one is really outshining the original US Columbia pressings. Oversized running time too which makes it hard to cut without reducing the bottom end. Plenty of dynamic range. Keeping this one. Get it.

Notice the giveaway " mov" in the dead wax matrix ? These remasters must use the Music On Vinyl metal work right ? Cannot explain it any other way, unless you can.
I have quite a few MOV dead wax remasters that aren't official mov releases ie don't come in the usual plastic outer with that black audiophile hype sticker. How does this happen ? -
I haven't heard the MoFi version of this album yet, but wow—this pressing is fantastic! I used to own an OG copy that sounded good, but definitely wasn't great. This pressing has excellent dynamics and is dead silent, too. Unless you want to shell out major bucks for the hard-to-get MoFi (and maybe it's worth it?), this pressing is incredible for the price!

Love it!!! Sounds awesome, nice thick jacket, heavy flat vinyl, has a nice feel of quality. Highly recommended :)
