About 3 months ago I found a copy of this and bought it. When I got it out of the sleeve to spin it, I saw that it is a misprint. There is "HEYA HIFI" and a track listing of "Banganga" with A1 being "Oh My Mind" and B1 being "Mrs Moore". The vinyl spins completely fine the Warsaw tracks listed on the back of the outer sleeve. If anyone knows, let me know how much this could go for.

Any online stores carrying this version nowadays? Anyone have a copy to sell unofficially?

Hinkebein -- I don't think so, though Factory owns the recordings -- Rob Gretton had Factory buy back the recording from RCA, at some point after he was hired by the band (I read this in one of Hooky's books). MOST of it has been officially released, if you add together Substance and Heart and Soul box set. I think the last 6 tracks of this CD haven't been, and maybe a handful of the others.
It's ironic how JD were so unhappy that RCA was insisting on adding the synthesizer, making them sound so less punk. It paled in comparison to what Hannett would do. And then to think the direction that N.O. would take it...!
RCA was the home of Bowie and Iggy, 2 big heroes to this band, especially Ian, hence the determination to get on the label.
But actually not all of this CD (baby pic) is from the RCA -- some must predate those sessions.
For us old timers, this came out first as an LP, with a big closeup of the wave pattern of U.P. as the cover, on RZM -- the band simply named 'JD'. There was the LP and most copies had a bonus 4-track single thrown in. There was also the bootleg called The Ideal Beginning -- my copy had 3 tracks, B6-B7-B8 of this CD, but a later print added a 4th track, I think B5 -- and these were indeed before RCA, as Steve Brotherdale is still the drummer (listed as Steve Dale). The Kill is a different song entirely than what was first officially released on Still. It's pure, raw, hot punk.
So if your question is will the baby CD ever be officially released, I'm guessing that either can't or just won't happen. I'd like to see "Factory" (okay, London or whatever) release the entire RCA session in one package. That would be an interesting and worthy release.

Is there an official release of this record? I love the authentic garage sound of this record. This is the first version of these songs in good press quality and sounds VG+.

The issue with all these versions of the RCA demos is that there has never been an official release from a first generation analogue tape recording so the sound is always going to be a bit rough, some people love the raw thin primitive sound of these early versions, hi-fidelity they are not, but until there is a definitive stand alone release with the permission of all the copyright holders/musicians involved the bootleggers will keep on churning them out to meet demand & make money and ultimately fans and collectors will still buy them.

Its a Compilation of the Warsaw Studio Demos from 1978-1979. The best Joy Division Album IMO.
I love the raw and aggressive sound of them in this one. The later Versions of those songs (on Still for example), sound really boring and lame in comparision. They had so much energy. Of course the soundquality is bad but it makes this record sound even more raw and aggresiv.

But the cover is ugly AF. :D

"I'm living in the ishhhhh age." This is a bootleg of a bootleg of a bootleg. At some point there was a needle-drop of a bootleg vinyl version, with a really worn out needle, and this is mastered from a CD bootleg version of that!
