Depressing as heck but thats a good thing because between the lyrics and the music it hits home on so many creative levels! A little more low key and not as "prog" as previous releases. You have the Irish overtones and woodwinds making appearance along with the "group" coming in at moments with electric guitar keys and so on. The overall mood is broadening due to the nature of the narrative ie a family coming apart during a time of forced Irish famine and upheaval (to the British no doubt!). Chock another notch for a wonderful Camel album that will please an open eared listener. Andy and crew once again prove progressive rock doesn't have to follow the same ol stuffy formula!
