Edited 5 years agoI finally got to see Psychocandy live a few years ago. I was blown away by the sound. Nothing I heard on cd or vinyl before captured that. This pressing reminded me of that live sound. It felt like the guitar was plugged into my speaker. it was a great balance sound of highs / mids / and lows, not just piercing highs. If they pressed Psychocandy in same manner, I would add to my top 10 albums to own. This is a great sounding album!

Really nice vinyl pressing. Flat, dynamic, and quiet. As for the music, it could've easily come out in the mid-90s. Still captures the Mary Chain magic

This album is a perfect example of a vinyl pressing blowing away the loud brickwalled CD. LP is still loud (because duh, Jesus and Mary Chain) but very dynamic and full like they sound live.

Under submission guidelines this should not be listed as a unique release and therefore should be merged. Anyone disagree?

This is a great pressing. 180g discs are flat, well cut, and sound awesome. The material for the gatefold is a little flimsy and thin compared to a lot of US releases but is par (or maybe slightly better than par) for the course with UK pressings, where the jackets are usually pretty thin. I managed to snag a signed copy from the site and unlike a lot of presigned albums the signatures are large, bold, and quite legible.
