To contradict what is stated in the release notes above, according to Peanut Butter Wolf the initial press was not on blue, but on green vinyl, 1000 copies, Japan only:
"So House Shoes called me and told me he and Dilla wanted to press a vinyl of those remixes and asked if I wanted to get involved. By that point, I was doing Stones Throw and knew how to deal with pressing plants and distributors and that sort of thing. We pressed up 1000 copies on green vinyl and I sold them ONLY in Japan. That was my first project with him. It was around 1997."

Were any of these instrumentals released later? Gotta guess maybe a few are scattered through the various compilations. Would love to hear a remastered release cause the snares are obnoxious on half of these, lol, violent to the eardrum. Try to turn it up to enjoy the samples/music but the high end of the snares make it hard to enjoy. Could just be the mp3 conversion or the pressing or just my old sensitive ears or whatever

Edited 14 years agoTrack A3 could also be referred to as "Fender Rhodes Solo". This 12" was intially called "AKA J.Yancey" which is a bootleg.
