My copy says “Tony Porky “ ? But it’s Double Grooved

My copy is pressed by Phonodisc. The labels say ‘Marketed and distributed by Phonogram Ltd. Typical phonodisc pressing matrix layout. The outer sleeve also says ,’ Manufactured and distributed by Phonogram Ltd.’ on rear bottom left.

This release is labeled "banded for airplay" on both sides, but side B is still the double-tracked version where a different program is played depending on where the needle is placed. There is no apparent track-banding on side B.

My copy has 'A Porky Ray Adventure' in the runout. Green insert as described above.

Between tracks 16 and 17 there is an unmentioned track called 'Boxing Tonight'.

Canadian GRT pressings certainly don't skimp on the double groove feature of side 2. Here, this mastering trick was pulled off at RCA's legendary Mutual Street studio in Toronto (think 'TG') and features the curious etched runout message "A BILL C ADVENTURE !"

One of the best Monty Python records material-wise, and the joy, confusion & interactivity of the double groove feature certainly adds to the fun. Possibly even the most 'hands-on' of their albums physically in all areas, including the tie & handkerchief gimmick sleeve. Worth the price of ission for the wit & surreal meme-like humo(u)r of the "Word Association Football" sketch alone.
