Amon Amarth – Deceiver Of The Gods

To be brief - this is simply one of the best Amon Amarth albums. Harmonious and professional work without obvious weaknesses.

In general, Viking metal is a rather serious phenomenon - on the one hand, it is a kind of barbaric unceremonious spirit,on the other hand, it is often intricate melodism, pagan / folk aesthetics based on history, myths and ancient epics. Since the time of Bathory Amon Amarth, almost the main media popularizers of Scandinavian culture from the world of extreme metal, one of the most commercially successful bands whose recordings are available anywhere in the world. For example, if Bathory spoke to the audience in a difficult-to-understand language of allegory, then Amon Amarth is like Marvel characters who speak in simple language about the confrontation between Thor and Loki. They are guides to the fascinating world of Norse mythology. First you start listening to Amon Amarth, and then you pick up serious history books. Perhaps this is also the mission of the band.

The reissue from Metal Blade made just fine. Heavy vinyl plays flawlessly, DR 12. A set of printing inserts with a huge double-sided poster pleases the eye. I would also like to note that, in my opinion, the best composition in the history of the band is present here - "Under Siege". There are a lot of cool tracks on the album (each in its own way!), but Under Siege has an incredible atmosphere and a melody that takes breath away. And in general, Amon Amarth have always been able to work with arrangements and catchy melodies. In the "Deceiver of the Gods" album they almost sured themselves.

My copy of this has different stickers from those shown. One gives the album's content details in white print on a black sticker 1 1/4" x 2 1/4" and the other gives UK November tour dates in white print on a black sticker 1 3/5" x 2 1/4".

I think this sounds great for a picture disc? The trick is... music loud - no hear noises. Boom bang!

Actually this release is opaque blue steel vinyl Ltd to 100. I ed metal blade and they said there was a mistake there is no such thing as the ice blue vinyl.
