Bryan Adams – Waking Up The Neighbours

Was blown away by the sound quality on this one. The CD already sounded great, but this vinyl brings out many more nuances and details.

This sounds like something Bryan Adams and Joe Elliott from Def Leppard would create.

This is one of BA's best rock albums.. Mastered on a Sony PCM 3348, it sounds fabulous with excellent bass and has so many brilliant anthems! Still a frequent player on my turntable in 2024!

It’s a 5 star album. I’m an 83 baby, and by heck do I this album as a huge part of my fomative years. It oozes memories of my family’s Hitachi stereo system w/cd player and me playing along to the album with chopsticks on margarine and ice cream pottles.
I later became a pretty good drummer and toured multiple times. I like to think this record played a big part in that.

Question is, is the 2012 remaster worth it? Or is the original just as good? Heaven knows the original still slaps so please advise this lost millennial

Very happy with this pressing. I have heard non-favorable things about Greek pressings, but this one sounds stellar to me.

B side has etched copymasters bob on my copy .

No problems with my copy and a great inherent volume. One weird thing, the label for Side Four reads as Side Four but then lists the tracks for Side Two. The tracks on Side Four are correct, just the label is confused. :)

If you ever wonder how much effect a Producer can have on a record, just listen to this historical document.

Robert J. "Mutt" Lange just took this record over and turned into a Mutt Lange record. Circa 1991, he was coming off big success with AC/DC and then Def Leppard. Soon to come - Shania Twain.

You can hear it all on this record, except with Bryan Adams singing. Start the track "Is Your Mama Gonna Miss Ya?". Is it Bryan Adams or Def Leppard's "Rock of Ages?" Hard to tell at first! Track 2 - "Hey Honey - I'm Packin' You In!" is just "Man - I Feel Like A Woman" from Shania Twain, down to the country-rock guitars and the cutesy play on words title shouted out in the chorus. Want some AC/DC? Check out "Touch the Hand" - it's almost lifted straight from "Highway to Hell"!

The whole album is like listening to Mutt Lange's greatest hits except watered down and filtered through Bryan Adam's vocals. Not a particularly good record, but a great example of what a producer does (or can do when he exercises control or is allowed it).
