Various – Reactivate Volume #1 - The Belgian Techno Anthems

This is first and the best reactivate compilation of all, BY FAR. Presenting exactly the early Belgian techno sound and classics from late'90- early '91. ''Energy Flash'', ''Brazil'', ''Magic Orchestra'', ''Anasthasia'' , ''Senses'', ''Precaution'' all those oldskool techno anthems in one LP. WOW!

Reactivate 2 ''Phasers On Full'' is also good but not as good as this one ''The Belgian Techno Anthems'', but from reactivate 3 and after its not worth any of them, as they switched the style progressively into the awful trance music, so the series became an ode to the trance genre. LOL

The the title "The Ultimate Belgian Techno Anthems" says it all really.

I agree with Johnmarcus. Pretty much every single Reactivate compilation is worth getting your hands on. React records released allot of great compilations covering various genres of dance music.

Great selection of Belgium Techno Classics, if you are into this sound you really cant go wrong with this album. Just check out the track listing, great start to what became a very successful series of "Reactivate" releases.

An absolute classic CD, starting a strong series that sadly came to an end with Reactivate 18.
Rooted well in the Rave era, this had a good selection of the key tunes of the day, added to with the other early Reactivate volumes before the series moved with the times into the Trance scene.
Pretty much all tracks on this CD have 'stood the test of time' and is well worth a listen to as a first-timer or some one who wants a nostalgia trip!
A word of caution if sourcing the CD... The early volumes (1-6) have been affected by CD bronzing. It may be difficult to read on a CD player or even extract the tracks by advanced ripping.
