the vinyl itself looks clean but the label is super beat up! anyone else with that? i’m spinning the first track now and it’s super quiet so idk. -

Tried 2 copies, both noticeably pressed off-center. I'll take my Volume One without the tonearm sway and seasick pitch wobble, thanks.
Seems like RTI has been slipping more over the last few years. I wanted to hear John Golden's updated mastering but maybe I'll just stick with my old CD copy. -

Much darker than all of their other albums but just as interesting for the most part. Really nice pressing too. It’s kind of like a breakup album except instead of your girlfriend it’s your sanity and then you become a monk afterwards. -

Great album- sounds excellent too- probably as it was mastered at Golden. Very punchy (especially for so many tracks per side) and great clarity (ha) and depth to the music. Glossy cover gives this album a nice lacquered appearance, but one star is taken off for the lack of a liner or card, and the fact that the record is housed in one of those awful frosted plasticky sleeves (not proper poly) that will outgas and leave a permanent sound-affecting milky film on your record. You MUST replace the sleeve when you get this album ASAP! Other than that- great pressing and great music from Sleep/Asbestosdeath’s early catalogue! -

My copy came with the record in a PVC-like sleeve and when opening it today I noticed the vinyl surface was becoming milky/hazy. I've had this ruin records in the past so I suggest everyone swap out the inner sleeve.
