Notes
Alive! is the first live album by American hard rock band Kiss, released 1975. The double-album contains live versions of selected tracks from their first three studio albums.
US first editions have blue 'Bogart' labels.
1st pressings have “Manufactured and distributed by Casablanca Records, Inc." in rimtext on blue labels. Reprint blue labels add an address to the original manufacturing text.
Covers do not state '2 Record Set' under the title. Back cover shows the older Casablanca logo without 'Records and Filmworks' printed beneath it located in the lower right corner. These covers were also used for the 1976 2nd editions which used tan 'Desert' labels, also with the older no filmworks logo.
Later reissues (and they were numerous) show the '2 Records Set' text and the newer filmwork logo before returning back to the original artwork for the 1980's PolyGram reissues, the latest of which also feature barcodes.

Edited one month agoMine has ‘2 Record Set’, no ‘501’, and different matrix numbers. Everything else appears to be the same.My father imported it for me, from the US to Australia in the late 70’s.

I think this is the version I have. Definitely the bogart label but despite the information in the Discog notes, mine has an ‘exclusive’ booklet/lift-out that has information about the Australian Kiss army on the back cover 🤷♂️ -

a fucking killer album that deserves the upmost playtime and respect my record shop always sells these the same day they come in i got lucky and came in when someone was selling their collection and scored a very good+ copy for $20 -
This version also has a mispress on the label where 100,000 Years only says “100,000” - this was quickly corrected so this should be the earliest press. Also was mastered by Robert Ludwig. His RL initials are in the dead wax - same mastering engineer from the famous Led Zep II Ludwig mix. -
Anybody ever noticed that lemme go rocknroll, amongst others, was recorded in aic, NJ. Wonder how many gigs and locations/sources this double lp has bin culled and patched from. No matter what, sounds tight as tight a kiss can be. Ironically no hints of any compressed files or Digital abuse here -SMIIIIILE-
Wonder what the 50th anniversary version is gonna look and sound like next year coming... -
