Reviews

Excellent in every way.
Flat, non static inner, no pops no clicks.
Sounds amazing.
Is possible to do the things well without extra costs -
Sound quality of pressing is excellent! I’m actually quite surprised for this being a reissue.
The pressing is more of a translucent clear than true clear vinyl. But that is no issue for me.
Other than that, I’m super happy to have a copy of this album in my collection! -
I played this copy not knowing it was a RVG and all along thought what if it was.. when I read the deadwax , sure enough VAN GELDER. Sounds Great.

While I am not certain whether this is a remaster or not, the quantity of the pressing is excellent. Sometimes I am fearful of colored vinyl reissues, but this one was great. The color says clear, but my copy looks like more of a murky translucent beige of sorts not that I care lol. Ashby can do no wrong, especially paired with Wess!

I thought my stylus was dying when I listened to this record, but no this pressing is just extremely bright or distorted in the upper frequencies. -
No issues with my copy of this pressing. Plays flat and quiet. Sounds pretty good, but I’ve never heard another version to compare.

This is a Mono reissue for those who wonder.
I have no reference to go off of but Im sure the original is no sonic masterpiece either. If you just want the music this is decent however and surely better than any of the electronically faked Stereo reissues.
The signal is firm and staged with depth, a little too much perhaps. Drums are usually very distant and drowned out in the mix. Other instruments shine better but feel quite boxed in, not just from the lack of width due to the Mono source but vertically as well. It resides mostly in the mids to midbass range and anything far above or below is missing, especially in the highs. But this is to usually be expected with DC BQS cuts.
The pressing is otherwise quiet for a Rainbo so Im happy with my old copy.
