I think this may be my new non collab Freddie album edging out Shadow Of A Doubt, solid beat choice throughout and no features necessary. Needed this one from ol gangsta Gibbs.

Edited one month agoAnyone else notice that track 7 is named “20 Girlfriends” instead of 30 Girlfriends on side B of the record? Quite odd and hopefully they fix it in the future, making this batch more rare.

Track 1 sounds horrible on my copy. A bunch of weird noise in the right channel. Track 2 onwards sounds good though. A bit annoying but oh well.

Leagues better than Freddie's last effort. The highest point of this tape is the veiled threats in the middle on "It's Your Anniversary", followed by a great trekking t with "Rabbit Island". "On The Set" is such a somber closer and relatable for any Hip-Hop Head.
Freddie's flow throughout the whole tape is effortless, the only stumbles being the loose spiritual battle narrative, but even that gets recovered by the time the LP reaches "Stuupid".
"You Only Live 1nce" sees Freddie unable to shake betrayal, a rough upbringing, and prison time - but it's irable in the way he soilders forward and doesn't compromise the integrity of his outlet's output, despite the pressures of mainstream music.
