There was an article in an old "Stereophile" magazine in which an audio manufacturer stated he used this LP to assess the resolution of an audio system by counting how many foghorns he could hear on side 1. This is a very demanding test--people with ADHD need not apply--it is challenging to stay alert for a half hour listening to this. I have a high-end system, but so far have not heard nearly as many foghorns as he claims, and my LP is in great shape. Maybe I need to listen at a louder level.

Obviously Earth's album "2": https://discogs.mejorespelis.org/master/8697-Earth-Earth-2-Special-Low-Frequency-Version used this one as inspiration for the cover designs and meant the music to be heard in a similar manner, -

Unfortunately, even if the LP knocks you out, the needle will collide with the label at the end, subsequently potentially damaging the needle, and perhaps cancelling out the lovely job of working as vinyl Ambien.
I have a different runout ID. Does anyone have a copy that is ST-A-701927-D ST-A-701928-D? Thanks. -

I am reviewing only the "Promo" release of this LP. I do recommend this LP to those in need of drowning out background noise for sleep, or perhaps some cases of insomnia. I did use it when in college I worked a night shift weekends while living in the dorm. Helped me very much
That being said, please share an incredibly humorous concept here. Bear in mind that side A is 30 minutes of repetitive waves and side B is 30 minutes of bird chirping.
Can anybody else here imagine a radio station actually playing this LP on the air??? I thought so. Hope somebody else laughed as much as I did. -

This is one of my favorite records. I only listen to the seashore. -
I am listening to an original copy of the environments disc 1 LP. It is scarred, crackles and pops from the many years of use ( and I am sure according to audiophiles, neglect) and have not heard it from the LP in over 15 years. Today it is as fresh, not withstanding the crackles and pops, as the first day I heard it. I am listening to side one, The Psychologically Ultimate Seashore. In Virginia, we call it the beach.
What I hear is that sound that one experiences when he or she is quite alone, on the beach. There is a foghorn in the distance, way in the distance, a lone gull es by, otherwise completely alone, or with someone equally as quiet and willing to hear the earth. This is new age, before new age....
