Edited 8 months agoWe're in the midst of the 80s disco-dance boom here, and perhaps this record, as "Deep Red" and "Suspiria" were previously for italian prog-rock, represents the pinnacle of how music was conceived and structured back then. The stereo separation is great and the instruments are reproduced quite well, the sound is full-bodied and engaging, perhaps, for my tastes and on my system, a little bit too directed towards the medium-high frequencies. There are also some signs of inner groove distortions, but luckily nothing too distracting.

Can anyone the front cover? I'm curious what it looks like -
My copy is in great condition and has been cleaned on a RCM, but still has a fair bit of crackling in the quiet parts. The title track sounds great, but on more ambient tracks like Gemini it is pretty distracting. So, a bit of a gamble buying this pressing. If you get a quiet one, it does sound quite good.

My Label is 3/4 White with green text. The other 1/4 is green with “That’s Entertainment” written in white text. “PAG” follows TER 1064 A in the runout etching on both sides.

on that goblin track you have the movie with it. it not obvious with.. any track..
because Dario & goblin are friends.
think about it.

dario argento and of course his choice for music for his movies. for you have it right here .. will always be an examplle.. for something different that fears you invites you or whatever..
unique pieces will remain as tenebre is.

Adding my voice to those applauding this release. The mastering is impressive and clear and the presentation and packaging are excellent. Sounds and looks beautiful. FWIW, I'm one of those listeners that has previously been disappointed with Waxwork releases (such as The Thing) for having a lot of surface noise... WW has really stepped up and addressed these issues, it seems.
-
Actually the best sounding version so far, beating even the Waxworks release. Far superior to all the previous digital incarnations.
