Alanis Morissette – So-Called Chaos

Christ, how did prices on this reissue raise up so fast? If Flavors can get a colored reissue, then this album deserves the same treatment.

While I haven't an OG pressing to compare it to, this is quite decent if you need a vinyl pressing of this record. If anything, it's a bit compressed, but overall a pleasant listen and worth picking up.

In 1991 was there all of a sudden the debut album by Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette Alanis, a teenager yet, but with a hell of a voice. Followed in 1992, Now Is The Time. Both albums were successful in her homeland Canada. The international breakthrough came in 1995 with Jagged Little Pill, that the best selling record of all time by a female artist. Big hits from that album were You Oughta Know and Ironic. After the success which seemed to take off, with a ' unplugged ' album for MTV and the 2002 album Under Rug Swept. On the successor so-called Chaos Sounds Alanis is happier than ever. In an interview the singer confessed that they had rediscovered the pleasure of writing songs. The plate opens exciting and penetrating with Eight Easy Steps. Doth I Protest Too Much is the number the most in of theme to the old Alanis brings to mind; It's about a relationship which becomes. More striking is the number Knees Of My Bees, that use traditional Indian instruments. So-called Chaos is high close to Jagged Little Pill.
