This remastered issue sounds quite good, and the dynamics are improved compared to the CD. In the absence of a good vinyl pressing it’ll do. -
Overall this pressing sounds good. Background is a little noisy even after cleaning, but it’s got decent dynamic range. Full and thick sounding mix. Frankly this is the best Kiss album since Creatures Of The Night. And it’s also the last solid album they’ve done. The reunion was a blessing and a curse. It totally screwed this record. The original artwork concept was great, too. Not like the generic album art that got officially released. This should have been the direction of the band for the 90’s and beyond. The reunion should have been a 2yr run at most. Then the band with Eric and Bruce could continue on this album’s path. -
Accidentally received this US version instead of European pressing. My copy plays perfectly on Linn LP12/Ekos/Ortofon Windfeld ti. -
the mastering and pressing are HORRIBLE.
This doesn't give justice to this great piece of work (you like it or not! :) -
I’d say my copy sounds pretty good. It played all the way through, no skipping or major issues. A couple of pops, but was in only one or two spots.
I love the music. -

Edited one year agoThis album is seriously in need of a proper double LP pressing/presentation (considering the fidelity-strangling length of the timings of each single side of this existing single LP record edition.) Who or what label will answer the call? -
This is labelled as a Reissue (2014) but was this album ever officialy released on vinyl in 1997? I don't think so.. but if anyone can confirm :) thanks -
