i believe i have this copy but it has a promo cut upper left corner runout MASTERED AT ALLEN ZENTZ L.A., CALF NBLP 7006 - BS--anyone else have a cut/promo copy? this one sounds really nice

The A-side matrix matches variant 3, but the B-side says NBLP-7006-B-S 1A Az on my pressing.

I need this cover- anybody selling one for reasonable price let me know!

The Ron McMaster-cut was pressed at QRP. As of 2024/2025 another cut with lower volume is cut at GZ Media.

Everyone knows that GZ Media isn't an Audiophile pressing plant. The hypesticker was made for the QRP pressing plant, back in 2014.
This above written message is also concerning other Kiss records that I am aware of: Dynasty, Dressed to Kill, and probably many other one's being sold in 2024 / 2025.

Super quiet pressing. HTH production quality is very questionable (I happen to enjoy it for what it is), but here you can hear every good (Ace’s solos sound) and bad (Peter’s drums EQ in every song) in a true-to-source-well-cut vinyl.

No idea what they used as a master, but there are audible dropouts throughout the album. Sounds like they used a worn original tape. I’m all for new pressings from master tapes, but pick a good one ….

Lots of surface noise - distortion on “All The Way” …

Overall, a poorly done, cheap money grab from the KISS marketing machine …

Also - either there’s a shit load more than 2,500 printed or nobody’s buying ‘em - as at 12th Jan 25 you can still buy these from Kissonline …. 🤔

Not a spectacular release. The last few re-issues had a great shiny cover but this one doesn't. Hype sticker says 'silver metallic ink' but I can't really spot that. The embossed elements are a great touch, the gold vinyl looks really gold but overall not too much difference from the 2019 transparent oranje version. And this was only available in a fan unfriendly package with an unwanted longsleeve shirt.

The LP is flat and quiet. Compared to my original LP, the mastering is a big improvement. The original HTH was the worst sounding of the original three releases and always had sort of a muddy mid range with rolled off highs. This pressing has a much cleaner high end (and mids), and finally has some bass on it. Those adjustments were sorely needed and it's got more presence across the soundstage as a result. More lively sounding than the original LP, and I didn't note any distortion at all (other than what was intended). Glad I grabbed it!
