EACH AND EVERY TIME. ONE THAT DEFINETLY RUBS WITH THE JUNGLE MOVES FOR THOSE THAT SWITCH GEARS AS SUCH

According to Lee Perry biographer David Katz, "Jackie Jackson told me he and the rest of the 'All Stars' played on 'Return of Django' and Lee Perry confirmed it: 'It was Jackie them play it you know. They played the tune. It was Jackie, but me wanted to do Family Man them a favour.' So the Hippy Boys went on the UK tour in 69, even though they did not play on the tune. Furthermore, during the tour, Perry told NME that the following musicians played on the song: Jackie Jackson, Hux Brown, Easy Snapping Beckford, Bobby Aitken, Winston Wright, Val Bennett, Johnny Moore." Nice for the Hippy Boys but an unkind slight to the musicians who made the record!

This is a great little reissue of an utterly classic Upsetter single, the sound quality is great and there is no issue with the play itself. Unfortunately though, my copy has the labels on the wrong sides so A is actually B and vice versa. Bit of an oversight when pressing, and perhaps they aren't all that way, but if that doesn't bother you then definitely pick up a copy! It's solid otherwise.
