Flora Purim – Butterfly Dreams

I wish I could find more albums this good and this cheap, this pressing is DEAD quiet and the sound quality is sensational. The playing is phenomenonal, really glad to have this in my collection, what makes it even better is it seems as though I have an ex copy from my favourite local radio station 4ZZZ Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺

Underrated/under-appreciated gem. This has some fun, ballsy fusion on here. Great vocal performance. And you cannot forget that JOE HENDERSON is on 5/8 tracks here….pressing sounds great as well.

I heard one of these tracks (Light As A Feather) on the "Jazz Dispensary - Hotel Jolie Dame" compilation, and I had to track down the album it came from. I was NOT disappointed! This whole album is absolutely amazing! 😮

The sound quality of this pressing is really stunning. This album is just over 50 years old and it sounds phenomenal! There is almost zero surface noise! This record actually has less pops and clicks than most of the modern day records I've purchase which are still brand new in the shrink wrap 😮 They really knew how to make some great sounding records back in the day 😍

The rating for this album should be over 4.6 easily. Very nice quality pressing and the musicianship is great. Look at the personnel. This is quality jazz vinyl for a real bargain price.

So damn good! Not typically a fan of jazz vocals but this record is a Brazilian/Psych tinged Jazz/Funk piece with Flora floating over the killer instrumentals.
