Tom Waits – Nighthawks At The Diner

another great sounding waits disc.

excellent packaging, especially compared to the early Island releases, and great mastering to boot. i've never found a reason to upgrade and suggest you pick this edition up.

Does anyone else have this pressing that has the white maple leaf on the back cover upper right?

My copy has the tracks out of order. Side A and D are on one record and sides B and C are on another. Anyone else have the same mistake?

Amazing engineering from Bones Howe to capture this underrated Waits gem. Waits and his band are all wonderfully present in the soundstage, with Tom in front. Good detail - I can hear all kinds of things barely present or absent on cassette, digital, and CD copies. About as good as a live album in this context can sound, to my ears, with the audience present but in the background. And another excellent Waits pressing from Specialty.

this is an AMAZING reissue/remaster. And the blood red vinyl? fantastic. A must own for any waits fan.

Great album, great pressing, sounds fantastic. My copy has wrongly identified as the color discs, came in black (preferable).

HALP! I'm still a newb on discogs & my copy of this particular record is extremely daunting to identify correctly. The runouts literally say "6-9-76" & the SRC stamp is absolutely clear, but it has the blue-sky-with-clouds labels & this combo doesn't match any of the listed versions even though there are, like, a bajillion of them. I've checked each listing from the US & a bunch of others, & I really don't wanna create a new listing unless I truly have no other option... Any tips?

Discs are prone to static buildup during play. Discharge before reinsertion into sleeve.
