referencing San Francisco's Doomed (LP, Reissue) SV178
Picked this up on a whim, since I'm from San Francisco. Didn't know who Crime was before buying it, but I quite like this album! Side 2 is a bit worse sounding, but I don't mind, this was never supposed to be an audiophile recording -

side A Sounds pretty good and "clear" (as much as possible and actually acceptable for such an uncompromising and raw energy), side B indeed is full of cracks here and there unfortunately, on top of the original recording being much worse/more lo-fi than the other session.
Still, a fucking legendary record 🔥 -

The volume maxes out fairly quickly on this pressing. Don't expect to be able to crank this. On the bright side, these tracks have more clarity than I've heard on previous versions. Maybe that was the trade-off. Not bad, not great, but you can actually hear what's going on! -

I have both pressings of this on Solar Lodge Records and the reissue on Swami Records. The Solar Lodge pressing is more clear and punchier, not to mention the rad cover. The Swami Records reissue is slightly muddier, not as sharp but not horrible either. I guess it’s to be expected that most reissues are not as good as first press. Just noting the differences for this record here. -

Suffers greatly from the fact the vocals are too low in the mix -
I struggled to make out a single word he was singing.
Ironic,if you're trying to your disgust or anger and especially if you're trying to get a message across!
