It's funny how the entry notes basically reproduce the entire looong list of credits but no mention on whether the CDs of the original non counterfeit box are silver or gold in color

Edited one year agoThe Harry Maslin remix of Station To Station is a head scratcher. Besides EQ differences, I hear reverb bathing the songs, to varying degrees. But what I was hoping for was the original mix that Bowie alluded to many years later. He said he had taken the less courageous route by going with a more polished version of STS, “wetter” i.e. cushioned with reverb for depth. He lamented he did not go with his gut and release a “dryer” version instead - less reverb, rawer, more in your face. The thinking was that a dryer version would be less popular, thus suffer in sales. THAT version of STS was what I had hoped would be included as an exclusive in this box. The Maslin is simply a Maslin, not an original vision of DB, if I’m not mistaken. What happened - why did we get this mix instead of DB’s elusive, original vision? BIG opportunity squandered.

The Bowie compilation "Who Can I Be Now? [1974-1976]" could quickly be shrunk to a six-disc set. The proliferation of Bowie's "Live" releases must appeal to a specific fan group or else the recordings would never see the light of the Retail market. Instead, why not compile those as a retrospective to spare the non-fan of "Live" recordings from paying out dollars for "Live" Bowie music that is mostly ignorable?- @daFigz™

I am the only person that thinks the CD-size book and covers should have been redesigned? The 12” vinyl lay-outs have simply been shrunk making the albums’ inner sleeves especially difficult to read. The booklet isn't much better to be honest. This applies to the entire first three box-sets (no idea about the latter two).

This box, just like all the other Bowie-boxes which pop out since his ing, are - or seem to be - complete compilations of his periods of work. Therefore it is a very irritating fact that songs are simply omitted. This makes the boxes simply incomplete. I mean.... where is "After Today"?? You still need to buy the "Sound & Vision" box to have this track.
