Great UK resissue!
sonics are excellent and in STEREO!
lovely label take on a Philips-UK Liberty licenced label in Transamerica Corp blue (also as originally exclusively UK released with the Phonogram re introduced from EMI 1952-3 1 1/2" large hole diecut , this actually was cost cutting as maybe 50-75 stamped out centers then re ground would press another single waste not want not!)
like the way it states on the label Capitol as the owners, which is true, after they forclosed on a loan and took over Liberty /United Artists but infact it should say to be fair original owners1969 Liberty Records but hey ho UMG over egging and trying to hide history
IMHO Expansions 4 silly, trivial and needless mistakes
1 - 3 label text errorrs omissions
1. (to hell with the original release determinations, the likeability playability facts speak for themselves)
IWNBOFM should have been consigned the A lead.
2. The sonics STEREO should have been printed on both sides
3. 45rpm text would have been nice too and needlessly left out
4 the finish rather than a plain white diecut card sleeve with a barcode sticker a faxcimily Blue Liberty die-cut with Expansion would have been really good.
Go buy this Northern Soul Classc its a hair lifter, you can now forget about the overpriced mono mix UK exclusive original, when you can have it in alive stereo, beautifully cut and mastered too.
(UMG 003 Universal Music Group?? I wonder)
Expansions UMG 004 could be JImmy Mack / Third Finger Left Hand in their stereo mixes as UMG don't seem to want to know!
