MT6 Records is an American independent experimental music label, founded in 1998 and based in Baltimore, Maryland. It released over 130 albums since then, primarily on CD and CDr but with occasional 7" singles. The label also had a cassette imprint, MT5 Tapes.

    Discogs is generally comprehensive in scope, but not so for the truly wonderful MT6 records label hailing from Baltimore, Maryland. There are over 130 releases in total ranging from CD's through vinyl to cassette only releases. MT6 defined the live Baltimore scene for a good decade and featured a seriously diverse bunch of local bands ranging from experimental folk to seriously mashed up psych hybrids. Criminally neglected and, by and large, unknown. A whole host of awesome psych from the likes of Newagehillbilly, Bo Lee Da, Chief Pokawa, Human Host and IED-IUD, all totally excellent.

    MT6 has retired now; a great shame. But there is a serious legacy left through the MT6 releases. Seek out and be amazed.
