Jerusalemskirken
Profile: |
Danish methodist church located in the centre of Copenhagen. The church was founded by missionaries in 1859, while the current building was opened in 1915 (replacing a destroyed building which dated to 1866). The church organ was built by Christian Winther & Th. Frobenius in 1916. It was restored in 1982-94 by organ builder Gunnar Fabricius Husted, and with its 35 voices is the largest romantic organ in Denmark from before the Second World War that still exists in original condition. |
