ZYX Mastering

ZYX mastering? Did they actually do any? I've collected German techno since 1989 and although I have no real complaints about the vinyl mastering I have had countless problems with their compilation CDs. I think there was an effort to make them so they only just played on a CD player but wouldn't rip properly. Problem is, even though I bought and own these CDs I cannot listen to them on any modern device now. This is the only label I've had problems like this with. If you want an example try and burn one of their Schranzwerk CDs or later Technotrax releases. Terrible. I hope they feel their efforts in stopping piracy was worth the inconvenience brought to people who actually bought hundreds of their records over the years but due to technology moving on can't enjoy the music they bought.
