I think of this as more of a psychedelic LP, though it does have early progressive predictions.

Van Der Graaf Generator – Pawn Hearts
Only heard this quite recently and a truly great LP.
Currently listening to: Tucky Buzzard - Coming on again https://discogs.mejorespelis.org/Tucky-Buzzard-Coming-On-Again/release/2984462
Spanish only LP by UK band who used to be The End and recorded fairly straight hard rock after this point. Nice variety with light and shade.

klockwerk interesting share. searched Willowglass on AllMusic only to discover the artist listed under the New Age genre. Went over to ProgArchives and received a more gratifying orientation. Thanks for sharing. -

New Age? I read some criticism of Willowglass as just another Genesis clone (on Amazon I think). That was like ringing the dinner bell. Calling music pretentious works the same way for me.
ProgArchives is very useful, but they're often not very friendly. -

A new purchase which I enjoy very much and surely can recommend to give a listen for those who can be fond of Hard Rock, Metal and Heavy Psych influenced and yet, very acoustic (and folky) Prog.

Pretty wild, and what does "best" exactly suppose to mean?
My favoured VDGG albums are:
H to He...(1970)
Godbluff (1975)
Still Life (1976)
H to He... is the one I'm most fond of. Beginning with the cover and ending with the lyrics which are not less than those of all lyrics I find very best: poetic, rather deep and very emotional, and yet, contrary to so many other lyrics, easy to understand. And the music and the lyrics fit so incredibly well together - which means quite a lot to me. -

Naxatras (Greece) - Naxatras (2015)
pure analog recording and mixing!
Space Rock in the more easy listening vein but rather diverse, a bit exotic and with its own charm, and yet clearly inspired by P.L.J. Band (Greece) - Armageddon (1982).
I find this album at its best playing the tracks (on a programmable CD-player) in the order 8,2,3;;7,4,6, and leaving the rest. -

So you're fond of Afrobeat / Afro-Rock? Do you know the African band Osibisa?
Their debut album is my favoured. It's from 1971 so in 70s style but with plenty of rythmic energy, for sure (even not as psychedelic as Goat): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-RbQjI3g-A
Edit:
I've heard some of Goat. They have surely distinctive sound, and I think I'll hear some more of them - I kind of like the cover of Commune which is a good beginning.
2nd edit:
Now I've heard the whole of Commune, and the first listen leaves quite a good impression. I've seen the back of the cover (LP), as well, and I surely like it :) -

Goat (S) - Commune (2014)
Yeah, it looks like I become fond of this Krautrock influenced and uplifting mix of positive (not exactly typical Swedish), liberating and a bit freaky energy.
Edit:
I guess you'd be happy to see their concert as well
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaR0GZMWbr0
But the cover of Commune could be more exotic, considering their appearance at this concert.
- Osibisa's is surely something else, but okay, it's designed and drawn by no less than Roger Dean. -

Mutantes (Brazil) - Tudo foi feito pelo Sol (1974)
Wow!!, what an almost "mind blowing" suprise listening to this one for the first time - after I've decided to do some more exploring of Latin American Prog, which I (as an European) began on about 10 years ago.
You could almost write an entire book about this album, so diverse and eclectic it is, and uncommon for the very most of the Prog - that is maybe except from Avant-Prog which this album isn't.
And I don't know yet what to do with it as it has some (Pop) elements common with the later coming Neo-Prog - which is not exactly my cup of tea - but I'm surely going to listen some more to this album, and I can't imagine else than decide to make it a part of my collection, as strange and very exiting it is.
And maybe I'll be back with some more comments about it.
Edit:
After second listen: "truely amazing expression of creative mind and life happy energy!!", and in no doubt about must having it! Plus, it's somehow amazingly consistent considering how incredibly eclectic this album is - and that thought of a person very fond of homogenous albums.
And maybe, it's most appropiate to consider it as Avant-Prog but of a very catchy type?
Edit:
- But I guess, it's not.

Os Mutantes is a legendary band in Brazil. They were originally into their very own style of psicodelia and pop, and were pioneers in the development of some musical genres in Brazil, including Tropicalismo, MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira), and even prog. They have a Prog period during the 70's. I have 2 of their releases, one from their psicodellic period (Jardim Electrico) and one from their prog period (Ao Vivo) -

De De Lind (I) - Io Non So Da Dove Vengo…(1972)
I wonder why this not so little of a masterpiece is not higher rated than it's the case - maybe due to the rather plain main theme, even it's otherwise very sophisticated concept album.
In his book, "Scented Gardens Of The Mind. A guide to the golden era of progressive rock (1968 - 1980) in more than 20 European countries", Dag Erik Asbjørnsen writes no less than:
"If one masterpiece should be singled out as the jewel of Italian rock, my vote would go to De De Lind's one-and-only album..." -

Starcastle - Starcastle
Never had heard of them until yesterday. Was crate digging at one of my favorite spots and the picture on the front totally sold me. A quick phone search told me the used to open for Rush, Boston, Journey, etc. Critics labeled them a Yes clone and rightly so... it is very Yes... but also kinda Styx in some of the vocals. It's not as intense as their peer bands, but still a great prog rock ride. I really enjoyed spinning it, best $3 I spent in awhile. -
