Weöres Sándor

Weöres Sándor (22 June 1913 – 22 January 1989) was a Hungarian poet and author.
He translated Indian poet Jayadeva's poetry Gita Govinda from Sanskrit. He also translated Stéphane Mallarmé. His translation of the Tao Te Ching continues to be the most widely read in Hungary.
