Edited 13 years agoVery American sounding is this first EP from UK Garage giants Nice 'N' Ripe.
Who can blame them. America years before focused in on quality vocal House music productions via the outstanding Strictly Rhythm label amoungst others. Those with a good ear over here in the UK became inspired.
Rolling saxaphone riffs, MK inspired B-Lines, black American chants, black American vocals stabs, tight production.
Took NNR a few releases to carve out its own sound which we all know as UK Garage. I'd say 24Hour Experience was the blue print for the beginnings of UK G.
